The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland convened the prize-giving ceremony on Saturday 09/07/2016 at 3pm in the ICCI Multipurpose Hall.  The prizes were awarded to the winners in different competitions that have taken place during the Ramadan 2016-1437.  A number of families gathered to celebrate with their children and to witness honouring them by Sheikh Hussein Halawa, the Imam of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland.

128 participants came from all over Ireland, competing with each other in the Quranic  competition which consisted of ten levels, half juza, 1juza, 2 juza, 3juza, 4 juza, 5 juza, quarter of the Quran, one third of the Quran, half of the Quran and the whole of Quran.

Likewise, 21 participants competed in the Seerah and Research competitions. For the Seerah, the competition was specific and according to the book the "Muslim’s Character" by the Imam Muhammad Al Ghazali.

Due to the demand, the ICCI will continue to organize the competition of Seerah of the prophet Mohammad (PBU) consistently in'sha Allah, in order to motivate and inspire our community and our children in particular, to live the life like the life of the prophet Mohammad, the most successful man who ever lived on this earth.

The Research competition has covered these topics:

  1. Common values.
  2. Muslims’ challenges in the West and how to tackle them.
  3. Terminating religious extremism.
  4. Features of Islamic religious address and its foundation.

It was a wonderful evening to celebrate with friends and families and everyone seemed very pleased with his/her reward.  The reward in the Hereafter is better and everlasting while the enjoyment of the life of this world compared with the Hereafter is little.  The Da’awa Section of the ICCI would also like to offer their appreciation and gratitude to Al Maktoom Foundation for their generous sponsorship.
